June 21 is a momentous date! 84 years ago my parents were married on that date and 54 years ago my lovely wife and I exchanged our vows.
In coming days I will begin telling the story of my father Arthur Fulbrook Gorham. The story will lead up to his bravery in Sicily during the allied invasion of July 1943. It will include the observance of those momentous days in Sicily on 9 and 10 July of this year.
As the year goes on we will describe the efforts to have his two Distinguished Service Crosses converted to the Medal of Honor.
